No one feels slow internet quite like gamers.
And when lag leads to losses, they get angry.
Gamers often take their frustration out on their controller, rather than the real culprit: their internet provider.
We tapped into gaming culture in a unique way to let gamers know that Verizon Fios won't let their game down.
To encourage them to switch to Fios, we created the world's first Unbreakable Controller and used it to troll big name gamers across the country.

THE CASE STUDY
THE RAGE-RESISTANT FEATURES
THE INFLUENCERS
To troll gamers everywhere, we sent the controller to gaming powerhouse and Fios user Nate Hill of FaZe clan, a notable esports team.
Nate trolled his influencer friends in Nuke Squad for their laggy internet by sending them the Unbreakable Controller.

Nate trolled his influencer friends in Nuke Squad for their laggy internet by sending them the Unbreakable Controller.
When Nuke Squad couldn't break it, we sent it to even more influencers...who also couldn't break it.
THE PACKAGING
We designed the packaging as a point of purchase for influencers to scan directly and access the Fios landing page.
The controller sits in sleek a black box surrounded by descriptors of the controller's features, doubling as reasons to switch to Fios.
The top lid showcases sketches of various tests that the controller can endure, hand-drawn by engineer Steve Brower himself.

In the end, we proved that the controller truly was unbreakable.
But, we also proved that an Unbreakable Controller isn’t the solution to laggy internet. Switching to Verizon Fios is.
