U.S. Bank created the first Spanish-speaking voice assistant for banking, Asistente Inteligente. Through this and their acquisition of
Union Bank in California, we saw an opportunity to speak to their Hispanic population. The language barriers Spanish-speakers
face can hinder them in many areas, including their finances, and that burden tends to fall on their children.
We created an unbranded documentary short about real, first-generation kids who serve as their families translators.
The film highlights 3 families, though there are over 11 million child translators in the United States.
To date, Translators has become a finalist in 17 film festivals, including winning Best Short at Tribeca X. We premiered
in LA as an official select of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) and in NYC at Tribeca Film Festival.
