Road safety is a massive issue across the globe, especially for children on their trek to school.
Many school zones and surrounding roads along children's commutes aren't equipped with proper signage.
And, children often aren't aware of the rules of the road or how to identify proper tools for road safety.
So, 3M committed to improving 100 school zones across the globe. The 3M School Zone Safety campaign reworked street signs,
added reflective lines on roads, and implemented crosswalks so that students have a safer journey to school.
Because for kids to get an education, first they have to get there.
This global campaign showcases the real school zones that 3M implemented their technologies in.
We shot in Mumbai, Mexico City, and St. Paul to show the breadth of this impact.

We designed this children's book to teach children about road safety in a tactile and engaging way.
The book integrates physical elements of 3M products that keep people safe on the road, such as reflective tape and luminant crosswalk paint.
Our plan was to distribute it to schools across the nation, specifically in school zones that 3M reworked.
